Can I add or remove people from my contract once it’s signed and booked?2019-02-07T22:02:23+00:00

Yes, to some extent. Please contact us with your specific requests and we’ll let you know what is possible.

Do you need a photo of the hairstyle or makeup I like?2019-02-07T22:02:11+00:00

We will discuss with you what hairstyle you’d like to have and what is realistic with your hair length/texture or what makeup is possible for your skin tone/type. Our artists would love to see a photo of your inspiration so we know exactly what you’re looking for!

How long have you been doing hair for?2019-02-07T22:02:02+00:00

Candice Jones Hairstyling was born in 2017 after many (many!) years of styling hair and doing makeup for fun. Since high school, I’ve been styling hair and doing makeup for weddings and special events for my friends and family. We have now grown to a team of skilled stylists and artists who are passionate about making women look and feel beautiful! We absolutely love what we do, and would be honoured to “glam you up” for your wedding or event!

What should I do with my hair before my appointment?2019-02-07T22:01:49+00:00

Hair should be clean and dry. We recommend washing your hair the day/evening before your appointment. Add in a bit of mousse or heat protector to your hair while it’s still damp and then either air dry your hair or “rough dry” it with a hair dryer. Please do not straighten your hair before your appointment if you’d like a hairstyle that requires curls.

What should I do before my makeup appointment?2019-02-07T22:01:42+00:00

We recommend that you gently exfoliate your face and use a gentle cleanser and a good moisturizer before your appointment. Please let the Makeup Artist know if you have any allergies or sensitivities to ingredients found in makeup.

Can I book a trial before my wedding?2019-02-07T22:01:33+00:00

Absolutely! We definitely recommend booking a hair and/or makeup trial before your wedding day so that we can meet you, work together on achieving exactly what you’d like for your wedding day! Booking your hair or makeup trial for a pre-wedding event such as a bridal shower or dress fitting is ideal because then you can see how your hair will look in photos!

How long will the trial take?2019-02-07T22:01:20+00:00

Depending on the hairstyle you’re looking for, the trial usually takes 1-2 hours. Trials are great if you have 2-3 hairstyle ideas for the wedding day but you can’t decide what would look best. Book a trial and we’ll try all of them (up to 3 hairstyles in 1 appt).

For makeup, the trial will take approximately 1-1.5 hours.

What should I bring to my trial?2019-02-07T22:00:53+00:00

Please bring any inspirational photos you have for your hair and/or makeup, your hair piece and veil (if you plan to wear either, and have them already) and a friend if you like! Please ask us if there will be space for you to bring a friend to your trial location.

Do you travel?2019-02-07T22:00:39+00:00

Yes! We are a mobile hair and makeup team. We travel for a minimum of 3 adult hairstyles or makeup applications. Please see below for which cities we travel to, and which cities are subject to a travel fee.

What cities are subject to a travel fee?2019-02-08T02:50:44+00:00

Our regular service area is Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Binbrook, Dundas, Ancaster, Waterdown, Burlington, Caledonia and Grimsby – there is no travel fee for these areas. Cities that are subject to travel fees are Oakville, Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge, Brantford, Guelph, St. Catharines, NOTL and Niagara Falls.

What is the deposit used for?2019-02-07T21:59:52+00:00

The $100.00 non-refundable deposit will go towards the cost of the bride’s hairstyle and/or makeup on the wedding day, or travel fee if applicable. If the bride cancels the contract, deposit will not be refunded. If Candice Jones Hairstyling cancels the contract, the deposit will be fully refunded.

What is the Booking Fee?2019-02-07T22:00:09+00:00

Every signed contract includes 1 makeup artist and/or 1 hairstylist for up to 6 people. If you have 7+ people who require hair and/or makeup, this booking fee will be applied so that you will have a larger team of artists to get everyone ready within a reasonable time frame on the wedding day. The Booking Fee goes towards the hiring and scheduling of these artists and any of their travel fees, if applicable.
